I would recommend Equus Physiotherapy to anyone who is interested in improving their performance both in and out of the ring. We are extremely fortunate to have such a one-of-a-kind, ground breaking clinic in Alberta.

I've had the pleasure of watching them work on numerous horses and without exception they have provided an accurate assessment and effective, thorough treatment to improve movement and functioning. The Equus Physio team bring extensive equine experience that spans a broad range of disciplines (both Western and English) to benefit any equine athlete. They are avid equestrians and competitors themselves so they understand the demands on both horse and rider.

Equus Physio is operated by knowledgeable, compassionate and enthusiastic medical professionals who are driven to help horse-and-rider reach their full athletic potential. I originally attended a clinic to assess the partnership of horse and rider. The team works together to evaluate the pair under saddle to pinpoint any areas of weakness or issue. The horse and rider are then individually evaluated and receive treatment - ultrasound, TENS, laser, physiotherapy, massage, stretches. A fitness program with follow up exercises, stretches and conditioning suggestions are made for both horse and rider. The team is extremely thorough and professional. I originally sought help with my ride but it has expanded to now encompass a better day to day functioning through life. I appreciate the improvement to my quality of life and pain relief.

Thalia is a recent addition the the Equus Physio team and brings an exciting new skillset to the team. I've had a LOT of massages in my lifetime to help ease pain and improve functioning but my experience with Thalia was so very different and the best by far. She is extremely meticulous, effective and precise. I cannot adequately describe sensation of having a massage provided with such care and attention that the pressure is exactly, precisely pinpointed exactly where its needed. I suspect this isn't a skill that can be taught as she seems to be incredibly intuitive about what is needed and where.

I am so grateful for the whole Equus team. They are genuinely interested and excited to face each new challenge with compassion and enthusiasm. They are extremely accommodating and never make you feel rushed during an appointment. I originally felt this would be a great way to give a competitive edge to the serious equestrian, but now I understand that they can help any human and any horse achieve optimum well-being both in and out of the ring.
